Big news for Beyond recently after months and months of hard work by the team we are delighted to announce that Beyond M&A has recently become certified in ISO 9001/27001!
Why is this such a big deal? Here’s some info about ISO and how these standards are a benchmark for the quality of work we deliver.
What is ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation)?
ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organisation.
Through its membership of 162 national standards bodies, it brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market-relevant International Standards.
These standards provide a benchmark to help support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. International Standards give world-class specifications for products, services and systems. They confirm quality, safety and efficiency and are instrumental in facilitating international trade.
ISO 9001 guarantees quality
The ISO 9000 family covers different aspects of quality management, offering guidance and tools for companies and organisations that want to ensure their products and services consistently meet customers’ requirements.
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system based on a set of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.
An ISO 9001 quality management system helps us monitor and manage quality across our business so we can identify areas for improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure our customers receive consistent, good quality services.
ISO 27001 ensures security
The ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards helps organisations keep information assets secure such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted by third parties.
ISO 27001 helps to establish and maintain an effective information security management system (ISMS) using a continual improvement approach. The ISMS is a systematic way to manage sensitive company information, so it remains secure. Its framework of policies and procedures covers people, processes and IT systems by applying a risk management process.
ISMS includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation's information risk management processes.
ISO 27001 uses a top-down, risk-based approach and is technology-neutral, providing a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security management system.
This certification requires rigorous repeated external assessment and demands applicants meet high standards of risk management and security control on an on-going basis.
